For the past few years we have campaigned for computers 4 carers and it has been our delight to receive a number of lap tops from Norfolk County Council, Virgin Money and other companies or from the general public, which we have sent out free to carers and ex carers across the UK. Carers are often up in the middle of the night looking after the person whom they care for, so they go on line to find a friend in Chill4us or to other carer websites.
Chill4us is a 'not for profit' organization with a constitution, a small management committee and a bank account. We have over 600 members and many use the website on a daily basis.
Up to date we have been given nearly 100 computers for carers which have been much appreciated. Our thanks and the thanks of the recipients go to everyone who made this possible.
Carers and ex carers have been able to make friends and move on to try and help and support one another at times of need, and share happy times with their friends.
If you have a lap top that is in working order, with at least Windows XP, and you no longer want then please contact us.
This could open a window to the outside world for a carer.
