Campaigning for Carers
Family Carers Need Your Old Computers
To Help Cope With Their Isolation
Carers Allowance is the lowest benefit there is, and there are many carers who do not even realise they are a carer.
We are a small charity giving a service to bring the internet to the disconnected.
Most carers are unable to leave the house due to not being able to leave the person they care for on their own, which can obviously leave the carer feeling isolated. Because of this many carers feel depressed or have a lack of self worth.
Past Care Services Minister Paul Burstow said 9.06.12
"That could be as practical as having a respite care service provided for the person they're caring for, or even access to a computer so they can keep in touch with the rest of their family and have a life beyond their caring responsibilities."
We at Computers4Carers understand these issues, which is why we campaign to give the carer aged over 18 years, a window to the outside world - a FREE computer. (subject to status)
The carer then can get shopping on line, do banking, access services and find support but most of all make friends.
Can You Help?
The laptops/computers must be in working order with at least Windows Vista.
All data is removed from the hardrives by a trusted company that only uses the latest and best software available, this ensures no one can access any personal information that may have been left on your computer.

Take a look at our testimonials to read how much the computers already sent out have meant to carers.
Please contact us if you can help.
